Accessibility Statement

Rug Refinery is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box to tick, and we welcome being told when we get it wrong.
1. The Standard We Aim For
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice and by courts when evaluating website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
2. What We Have Done
In August 2026 we carried out a review of this website and made a series of improvements. These included programmatic labels on every field of our estimate form, keyboard operation and screen reader support for our FAQ sections, descriptive names for icon-only links, a skip to main content link, visible keyboard focus indicators, improved colour contrast on buttons and form text, automatic support for the reduced motion setting in your operating system, and descriptive alternative text for images.
3. Known Limitations
We would rather be straightforward about where we still fall short. The scrolling strip of service cards on our home page cannot currently be paused. Some scroll-triggered animations do not yet respond to reduced motion preferences. We are working on both. Content provided by third-party services may not be fully accessible and is outside our direct control.
4. What This Statement Is and Is Not
This page describes our ongoing efforts and our good-faith commitment to accessibility. It is not a claim that every page of this site meets every guideline at all times, and it is not a certification. We would rather tell you what we are still working on than imply the work is finished.
5. Reporting a Barrier
If you have difficulty using any part of this site, or you need information in another format, please tell us. We will help you directly and work to fix the problem. Reports from the people who use the site are the most useful information we get.

7. If the Website Is Stopping You
If the website is preventing you from requesting an estimate or arranging a service, call or email us and we will take your rug details personally and handle everything from there. You should never have to fight the website to become a customer.
8. Reviews and Updates
We review this statement and the accessibility of our website periodically, and after any significant redesign. This statement was last reviewed in August 2026.
