What restoration involves
Restoration goes beyond patching. When pile is missing or the foundation has failed, our weavers rebuild the warp and weft from scratch, then hand-knot custom-dyed wool or silk back into the pattern.
Matching century-old dyes is the hardest part. We keep an inventory of vintage yarns and custom-dye to the rug's faded patina so new knots blend into the original field.
